Yoga Nidra for Sleep
This is a form of guided meditation, a method of Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses) that allows you to scan the body and tap into a state of relaxed consciousness as the mind settles in a place between wakefulness and sleep. You will stay awake throughout the practice of yoga nidra, telling yourself, “I will not sleep. I will remain awake.”
Through this yoga nidra session you will access brain waves called “alpha wave” ,these are the brain waves of inspiration, creativity and deep healing.
This practice will allow you to integrate a deep healing opportunity where you will release issues that have been stored in the body and the mind over your lifetime and beyond.
You will awaken with a deeply rested body, clear mind and more balanced energy.
When practicing this yoga nidra I invite you to lie down in a quiet space, make yourself comfortable and warm with a blanket to cover your body, a bolster to support your knees and cover your eyes with an eye pillow or small face towel to block out the light.
It is essential that your body is completely relaxed and that you do not move your body through the practice.
You are about to discover that 1 hour of yoga Nedra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep.
So get comfortable and cosy in a relaxing space and enjoy this deeply restful rejuvenating experience.
