Dry Body Brushing is beneficial as part of all cleansing programmes.The skin is the largest living organs in the body and is a major route of elimination for toxins.

What type of Body Brush to use?

My advice is to purchase a good soft pure bristle body brush (plastic or synthetic can tear the skin and cause irritation.) These are available in different shapes and some come with detachable handles so you can reach your back and other hard-to-reach areas.
As your skin becomes accustomed to the dry brushing you can move onto using a vegetable brush. These are made from natural fibres often coconut and are very hard wearing.


How to Body Brush

Always begin when the skin is dry just before showering in the morning.
Starting at your feet brush with gentle strokes in an upward direction. Between 1 to 4 strokes on each section of the body moving up towards the area just below the shoulder blades. You can brush your entire body (including the soles of your feet). Start at your feet and work your way up your legs to your arms, chest, back, and stomach.
When brushing the neck begin at the chin and brush towards the indents at the upper chest
areas below the clavicle.
When brushing is completed, wash your brush with mild shampoo and leave it to dry naturally.
I recommend dry body brushing daily or at least 2 weekly.
You will find that your skin feels silky soft as all the natural oils come to the surface.
Body brushing is extremely invigorating refreshing and beneficial for you overall health.
